My Peter Pan Collar Blouse, is my latest sewing pattern design . I have called this design, The Olive Blouse, and I really love its style of it.

Secondly, I’m also, showing you my latest knitting project which is on my needles at the moment. Lastly, a mini fabric haul, that goes without saying!.

Peter Pan Collar Design

Firstly, I wanted to design a new blouse sewing pattern that had a peter pan collar as I love a collar on a blouse.

Obviously, my original design was just a straight-seam blouse as you can see in the picture below. I really liked this blouse design as it had the pretty button placket detail down the back. To add that extra style I wanted something a little different too, so I added a peplum frill for that extra feminine detail.

By adding a short sleeve style, with a gathered cuff sleeve I knew it would be super versatile for layering throughout the cooler seasons. Furthermore, the overall design was just exactly as I imagined.

Versatile Style Blouse Design

I think a good style blouse is so versatile to have in your wardrobe. You can wear it on its own with jeans or underneath a pinafore for day wear. Adding the Peter Pan collar just takes it up another level and adds that bit of added interest. I firmly believe that it’s all in the detail and including this pretty Peter Pan collar in the design makes it special.

How To Wear A Peter Pan Collar Blouse

You can wear it with a skirt or trouser suit for a smart and professional look work outfit, you will definitely stand out in any office meeting

Although dressing an outfit down does not mean being unstylish. Simply wear your Peter Pan collar blouse with a pair of vintage-style jeans and brogues. Equally, you can add a pair of wide-leg pants and chunky boots for another stylish fun look. Perfect outfit options for meeting friends for coffee.

Additionally, you can transform your daytime outfit into a stylish evening look. By adding a pair of black cigarette pants and heels you have a stylish outfit for an evening date.

If you love the fabrics that I used you can get something similar here on Minerva one of my favourite fabric shops. I used floral viscose for all my Peter Pan collar blouses as the drape is perfect for this style blouse.

Another favourite fabric store is Orya Textiles. They have a wide range of fabrics for all your sewing and dressmaking projects.
