The Poppy Pinafore is my very first ‘grown up’ sewing pattern now available in PDF format for you to download and create your very own.
The Poppy Pinafore has a semi-fitted bodice, with bust darts, giving it a relaxed fit and easy to wear style pinafore dress.
It will become your favourite go-to sewing pattern because it’s so versatile. Once you have made one you won’t stop there, I can guarantee. With secret side pockets, a pretty button placket on the back and a gently scooped neckline.
It can be styled for both casual or dressy, making it so adaptable. You can create different looks depending on the fabrics you choose too. Something soft and drapey like linen, perhaps a floral cotton blend, baby corduroy or something decadent like velvet. Experiment and have fun.

Fabric Options
Poppy can be worn throughout the year – made up in floral chambray or pretty linen and layered with a t-shirt or pretty blouse, perfect for spring/summer. For the cooler months, choose corduroy, denim or even velvet for the perfect winter outfit layered with a skinny rib jumper and tights and boots.

The Layers Function
Both Print-at-Home and Print Shop Poppy pattern files are included in the layers function! You can choose to turn on and off any number and combination of pattern sizes to suit your personal needs and preferences. Refer to page 4 of your instructions for how to use this function.
Pattern Files
This pattern comes with an A0 Print Shop Version included so that you don’t have to print and piece your pattern together at home if you prefer! Simply download the A0 version and send it to your preferred print shop. You will need a software program that reads PDFs like Adobe Reader (which is free to download). This pattern can be printed in both A4 and US Letter paper. Please note – all my PDF patterns are for personal home use only and not for commercial use. Thanks in advance!

The poppy pinafore dress is designed to be loose-fitting at the waist, with relaxed armholes and measurements taken from the finished garment.
